Game 3 of the ALDS featuring the Tigers and the Yankees heads to Comerica Park tonight.  Hopefully the Tigers will carry their winning ways back home to play their first playoff game in Comerica Park and the first in Detroit in 19 years.  The pitching match up for tonight's game feature two of the best left-handed pitchers in the league and also both of them are over 40 years old.  Detroit's Kenny Rogers will do battle with New York's Randy Johnson.  Game time is 8:09.

In other ALDS action, the Oakland A's can finish off the Minnesota Twins this afternoon.  Game time for this pivotal game is 4:00.

Tomorrow, at least one series will continue and possibly the ALCS may have one team ready to take part in vying for the American League pennant in that series.

Over in the National League, both the Mets and the Cardinals hold 2-0 leads over their opponents in their respective NLDS and both could possibly move on to the NLCS after play today.

It will be interesting to see which teams will emerge to play in their respective LCS and eventually play in the World Series.  I for one can't wait to find out which teams they will be.
