The St. Louis Cardinals tamed the Tigers once again with a 6-5 win last night.  The Cardinals are now one win away from capturing the '06 World Series.  The Tigers still have a chance to turn things around even though it's a slim chance.

Game Summary:  Tigers 4, Cardinals 5

The Tigers need to turn their fortunes around and play like the team that they were early in the season.  I know they can do it but I hope they can turn this thing around.  There is a little history to this, in 1968 when the Tigers played these same Cardinals, they trailed 3-1 in the World Series and stormed back to win it.  Their pitching, offense and defense must work together in order for them to come back.  Tonight the Tigers will send Justin Verlander to the mound against the Cardinals Jeff Weaver.  Hopefully Verlander will have a better pitching performance than in game 1.  Game time is at 8:00.
