The title says it all ladies and gentlmen.  Down are street, there will be a couple of fire hydrants put in and one of the lines runs right through our property.  Well, that's alright.  The past couple of days, we saw some of the pipes, the hydrants and a couple of port-a-potties along the route they'll be putting them in.  Btw, one of the p-a-ps is on the other side of our driveway.  So, if we can't make it to the bathroom... you get the picture.

Unfortunately, there was a little accident today.  While digging, the construction workers hit the phone line.  I knew we lost Internet service but I thought the server was down because that has happened.  I also took my sister to the dentist today with my mom and told them to give me a call to pick them up.  Never got the call.  I didn't know they called until my sister came home and told me.  So, I pick them up and I get in trouble for not answering the phone.  Later, we find out that the phone is out.  Apologies ensue.  I use the cellphone to call the phone company.  They tell me to do some crap which I don't understand.  They also told me that our place was the only one with a problem.  The ask me if I want a tech to come out and I say yeah buddy but they can't send one out until tomorrow.  WTF??  So, I end the call.  We check the phone line to the house ourselves and find nothing wrong.  We later ask a neighbour if they have service and he doesn't.  So, take that you dumb telephone company, we aren't the only ones without phone service.

We find out what happened when my dad goes up town and runs into some phone techs down the street.  Thus, for 8.5 hours, we had no phone and of course no Internet.

As you can tell, I'm a little pissed.  Both the construction people and who I talked to at the phone company are a bunch of morons.  What it all boils down to is this, know what the hell you are doing and stuff like this won't happen.
